About Us

Who are we?

Brookdale Reformed Church is a multi cultural family oriented Christian congregation. We enjoy studying the Bible together. We enjoy worship, fellowship and growing in our love for the Lord and for one another.

Although we are small in number that does not prevent God from using us to bless others. The congregation at BRC has a servant’s heart.

We’ve gone on mission trips in Guatemala & West Virginia and locally in Newark. We take our faith seriously. It is who we are and we try our best to live out God’s Holy Word everyday.

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it:

‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Where are we located?

Brookdale Reformed Church is located adjacent to the north entrance of Brookdale Park on Bellevue Ave. – please check out our “Directions/Map” page.

We are just a couple of blocks west of the Brookdale Shop Rite on Broad Street. There is a bus stop at the intersection of Bellevue Avenue & Broad Street.

We have an historic cemetery on the  property. Many veterans of various wars were buried there; some graves date back to 1814.

What we believe about you –

We believe that every person who comes into the circle of this special fellowship was sent by God Himself. It’s not by accident that we have the joy of meeting you. We want to share His love with you. We look forward to seeing you and sharing with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.

It won’t take you long to discover that we are a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, and we learn. As a result of this we try to reach out to our neighbors with life-transforming truth. Therefore we reach out to you. Our doors are open. Our hearts are open, too.

If you have been searching for a place like this, then we would love to say to you:

Welcome Home!

We are a member congregation of the Reformed Church in America.
